RSVP for Stakeholder Summit by Aug. 20

We are hosting a virtual strategic planning meeting on the MSTEHP Fellowship Program on Aug. 27 from noon-2 p.m. EDT. The meeting will be co-hosted by Graduate Science Policy at the University of Maryland and Dr. Deborah Stine of Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy Analysis & Education, LCC.

At this meeting, we will explore and discuss opportunities for advancing a statewide science policy fellowship for Maryland, including potential models utilized by states across the country. Fellowship planning has been ongoing for some time with the support of the Union of Concerned Scientists. Over the last several months, the global pandemic has further emphasized the importance of informing public policy with the best science available. We need additional perspectives to help us further develop this fellowship with sensitivity to Maryland’s unique needs and opportunities.

Please RSVP for the meeting by Aug. 20 by emailing us. We will send out an agenda and meeting login details to registered attendees. If there is another individual within your organization/office that you feel has a valuable perspective or stake in this work, please let us know.

We hope to see you on Aug. 27.
